For My Pals In New Mexico...

It has come to my attention that maybe a few of you don't know what the fuck I'm trying to say with this latest cartoonish and shitty image I created.

...and that's OK.  Don't feel dumb.  I'm kinda weird, so sometimes my idiotic crap might not make any sense.

So...what is this red slash through the blue bar all about?

Well...it's the "thin blue line"...cops.  You know...the small number of guys and gals who bravely protect all us quivering, terrified, and defenseless masses from the bad guys who want to rape our dogs and kill our women.

You see these in license plate form or bumper stickers on cop cars and on vehicles owned privately by holster sniffers and badge polishers.

I saw one on a minivan yesterday, and with the gunning down of several folks in Alba-Kracky recently, the whole thing kinda pisses me off.

(Then I remembered this other wonderful story about New Mexico cops.  FUBAR.)

Here in Indy, they wanna add another 500 cops to the street 'cuz the ghetto apes and meth-heads are slaughtering each other wholesale.

...and I'm like, "I don't need it done.  Thanks anyways."

I'll pass.  I neither want nor need a cop on every street corner.

I don't need a cop, (or anyone else), inserting themselves into my day and/or life, because when it happens shit most often goes sideways.  This is a lesson I learned first-hand several years ago when I voluntarily involved cops into my life with (what I thought) was a relatively cut-and-dried and trivial matter.

Never again.

Some of you might be saying, "Zoomie!  Why you hatin' on cops?  You would be the first to call them if zombies attacked your house.  Hell...your dumb-ass life was saved by two cops when you were a kid.  Hypocrite.  Fuck you and die already!"

Ha!  About 5 years ago, I spoke to (and thanked) one of the two cops who prevented my family from being shot to death by an escaped convict 45 years ago.

Know what he said?

To paraphrase:

"I retired a long time ago, and I'm glad I'm not a cop anymore.  These new guys are fucked up."

He don't need it done either.

Some also might be saying, "Zoomie!  What about the frail old ladies and cuddly small children and kittens who aren't innernets tuff and threatening and angry and capable of defending themselves like you?  Should they be left to the tender mercies of the thugs?  Answer that one, smart-ass!"

Good question.  I am first inclined to think that old ladies and children and kitties should be protected by their men-folk (fathers, older siblings, sons, nephews, cousins, trusted capable neighbors), but that would be sexist dinosaur thinking.  I mean, what if the children and old ladies and kitties don't have any men-folk?  Then what?

Hell.  I dunno.  I'm not very bright.  Who needs a man?  I guess they're fucked.  Call 911...

In conclusion...as far as cops go, am I paintin' with a broad brush?

Motherfuckers, I'm paintin' with a roller.

And it's turbo-charged...

I'm tellin' you good cops...you'd better get your shit in one sack and clean up your mess.

The world's a big place, but I'd hate to paint it.

  4. Amazing how gutless and cowardly the masses are. Always wanting someone to take their hand and walk them across the street or protect them when the boogie man shows up. The rest of the time they're talking shit and acting tough on YouTube.
A very few of us went into the service when we were 18, most of my friends come from those ranks, and today I don't even trust half of them, just because they're so fukn stupid and have become blue groupies/apologists themselves.

    1. Amen, brother. I said the same thing I said above at a local news site. Somebody replied that they were sure I didn't live in the area where Little Fallujah was going down, and that's why I can be a brave troll and say that 'I don't need it done.'

I don't live in the "ghetto," but I live inside the Indy I-465 loop, which is pretty much all ghetto these days unfortunately. Unless one lives in a gated community (this truck driver does not), all of Marion County is FUBAR. Bull shit goes down everywhere...

What I'm trying to say was said by our founders: I am not willing to give up freedom for security.

Besides that, the ones supposedly providing the security are pretty sketchy these days.

I'd rather take my chances with a meth-head.

      The odds are better.

  6. Yeah, I don't need my taxes raised AGAIN to pay for more scam 'overtime' for a jackbooted asshole to come and take a report, all the while treating me like Americas Most Wanted and acting like they're doing me a favor and I"m putting them out.

We have plenty of cops. Send some of the illegal aliens back home, and it will start to look like there are too many cops!

The badge polishing is especially bad in the firearms 'community'. Personally, I'm sick of it.

    1. Look at the ads in the gun magazines, all badge heavy, and of course the gun owners want to be cool like the cops, who want to be cool like all the cammied up operators overseas. Really sad situation of insecure people copying even more insecure people.

  7. Zoomie, may I suggest revising the graphic, making the blue line weight thinner than the line weight of the red line? Then the "Thin Blue Line" connection would make more sense. Note that the line on the license plate is thin, not fat. As your graphic is now drawn it is more like "The Fat Blue Line," which however, accurately describes some of the more seasoned cops on duty.

As for the overall meaning of the graphic, I agree with you completely.

    1. A nice thought, but you don't get to insert yourself into my day and instruct me as to how I design my shitty graphics.

      Thanks anyways...

When I came on the job, I started down the road that so many of these JBT's have taken. Cops refer to it as being "badge heavy." Reading Unintended Consequences straightened me right up. I am now retired, and I don't even trust the members of my old department not to shoot me if Icame into contact with them as a retiree.

And as for "I'm tellin' you good cops...you'd better get your shit in one sack and clean up your mess," you know better than that. It'll never happen as long as the few good ones left stay within the system. They'll be driven out just like all those generals Obama cut loose for not being politically reliable. The only thing they could do that would make a difference would be to stay put and finger their erstwhile "blue brothers" when the festivities start. Other than that, their only choice would be to leave. Nails that stick up tend to get hammered down, and after you've been on the job a few years you don't have any other way to support yourself. And the chain of command knows it.

As far as I'm concerned, if they have no ability or desire to join in with neighbors for mutual defense and benefit, and are too stupid to learn how to use a gun (one of humanity's simpler tools), then they deserve to die. Let's face it, people like this are the main excuse for cops to exist at all. A pox on 'em...

  11. Hmmmm, as someone who has 16 years on the job, I both agree and disagree with you. I'm on the job in the NY & we'll leave it at that, as I don't need to lose my job for speaking a bit of truth to power here. For starters I got into this line of work rather late (30th birthday) and I worked a whole slew of different jobs before this. As such, I bring a much different perspective to the job, as opposed to someone who's been doing this since they were 21.
Having said that, being in a blue state, things are a whole lot different here than in most other places. Here, as a cop your always wrong, even when you do everything correctly, both within the letter/spirit of the law and as per dept. rules and regs. Being highway patrol our job is a bit different than most. We deal with a large number of accidents and again being in a blue state (Sanctuary state too) there's a large amount of human trafficking that takes place here. Media by and large refuses to report it and being a blue state there's almost zero chance of the offenders being deported. Unfortunately a large number of the guys who have gotten on the job over the last seven years or so need much more seasoning and they've been taught by the administration from day one that we need numbers, numbers, numbers. Why? because in NY the cops are the last to get everything budget-wise the welfare mutts get everything first. As a result, many dept's have to begging for grant money now and when you ask for grant money, they want to see results when you go asking for more. The problems I've read here are somewhat multi-faceted, although what went on in NM, at least on the surface, appears to be beyond the pale. I say on the surface because from my experience with the media, they always; leave something out if it interferes with the narrative of their story, or make shit up out of whole cloth if it means making us look bad.
As for me, I've never had to pull my gun on anyone and I hope I don't have to. Politeness is always the order of the day and surprisingly enough, it works well 99% of the time, even in the ghetto areas. The exception to this would be people with money, specifically people from new money, they seem to contract an illness that could loosely be described as, "Surely this doesn't apply to me." when something is wrong. Such as the time about two weeks ago when my partner and I had an exit ramp blocked off because some kid took the turn too fast and buried the front of his car into the guide rail. The hook was on scene pulling the car out of said guide rail and with lights flashing and flares laid out, some fifty something in her SUV pulls up alongside and asks me if she can traipse through the accident scene and I politely told her that she couldn't until everything was cleared. She then tells me that she's in a hurry and she needs to exit here. I simply said, "Sorry mam, I'm a little busy here, you're going to have to wait." Said female then backs up and attempts to go behind me and on to the grass to try and bypass both me and my partner and then rams a rather large boulder that she couldn't see. Needless to say, her SUV suffered about 2k worth of damage, but she really went ballistic when I put her at fault on the report and demanded that I change it. When I refused to, she filed a complaint stating that I berated her at the scene and that I failed to tell her about possible hazards in the grass (True story). The cameras were going the whole time and since the footage didn't corroborate her version of events, everything was dismissed, but it still makes you wonder what some people are thinking sometimes.
As for that asshole up in CT who worked for the Branford P.D., the one who couldn't wait to go kicking down peoples doors, I say fucking fire the douche! He's a disaster waiting to happen.

  12. Zoomie, I feel exactly the same way. What happened to you a few years back that made you regret getting the popo involved if its ok to ask? A couple years back the lady next door was having a neighbor threaten her. One night she asked me to walk her to her car, which I did with a pistol on my hip, which I do all the time anyway. I never removed the weapon from my hip and never said a word to the asshole neighbor. Just walked a young lady to her car. About 30 minutes later the popo shows up at my door asking to speak with me. They asked me if I had a gun. I said no, at least that was true the moment they asked me. Then they asked me if I owned guns. I said that is my business. The male cop was cool, but the female cop kept threatening to arrest me. I said FOR WHAT? And refused to answer any more questions. Then they tried talking to my wife and she pretended not to speak English. That really frustrated them, but the assholes left shortly after. I may call 911 for a fireman or ambulance, but NEVER for a cop.

Keep in mind this was four years ago, and the letter I wrote to the police chief then would be VERY different if I wrote it today!

Feel free to comment away with your bad-ass selves.

Cursing and foul language is fine...even encouraged here. In fact, I think cussing is fucking wonderful.

Just remember...this is MY house, and I will not be insulted or maliciously messed with here.

Good-natured ribbing is cool, but if you and I don't have some kind of previous relationship, you had best mind your fucking manners or I will relegate you to the intardnets dustbin for being a cunt.

To know me is to love me.

Or something.

Maybe.
