Part 12-My 2008 Magnificent Colossal Indy 500 Photo Blog Thing: Pancho Carter

This is a picture of Pancho Carter I took today.

Pancho is helping out Panther Racing...maybe as a spotter or something. Maybe I should research it and get back with you.

Anyhoo...Pancho is famous for inverted flight at Indy back in the olden times...

I wanted to ask Pancho if he had ever seen this picture my old man took of him as a boy sitting in Mickey Thompson's racer.

Pancho was talking to the other guy in my original photo, and I didn't want to interrupt them, so I didn't get to ask Pancho if he would like a copy of the old picture.

I am a polite race fan.

I flipped my then AMC Jeep, not as fast as Dwayne did at Indy mind you. But I caught air and travelled for awhile before coming down in the newly "written off" Jeep. From that day forward my friends gave me the nickname "Pancho", I'm rather happy with it now. Thanks for the post.

This blog contains stories and graphics about auto racing, war, firearms, history, family, politics, the coming apocalypse, and whatever else might interest me.

Most of it I wrote or created. Some of it I didn't.

I try to approach my topics in a humorous and self-deprecating style, and I use coarse language sometimes.

Most of my thoughts here are tongue-in-cheek and satirical. Some are not. You'll figure it out.

I write and create for ME...to blow off steam, to get a laugh, or to get a point across, and I do it in my own demented way.

If you find my creations routine, dull, predictable, pedantic and pedestrian...I really don't give a fuck.
