A Brief Bit Of Mosin Nagant Madness

My son fires his birthday Mosin-Nagant at Atterbury.

A serious good time was had by all.

We shot everything. Mosins, handguns, shotguns (clays).

The two Mosin rifles performed flawlessly, with over 100 rounds per rifle.

Accuracy was very good.

Recoil is outta hand with these things.

Yes. I'm old and my shoulder hurts and I'm a pussy, but the sons had all they could stand as well. None of us have a lot of meat on our bones.

Will be investigating some sort of recoil padding.

The Mosin kick truly is BRUTAL!

BTW...this is a very nice shooting facility. Reasonable rates, well-run, polite staff.

It seems they keep the idiots and rabble away.

Cursing and foul language is fine...even encouraged here. In fact, I think cussing is fucking wonderful.

MISSION STATEMENT

This blog contains stories and graphics about auto racing, war, firearms, history, family, politics, the coming apocalypse, and whatever else might interest me.

Most of it I wrote or created. Some of it I didn't.

I try to approach my topics in a humorous and self-deprecating style, and I use coarse language sometimes.

Most of my thoughts here are tongue-in-cheek and satirical. Some are not. You'll figure it out.

I write and create for ME...to blow off steam, to get a laugh, or to get a point across, and I do it in my own demented way.

If you find my creations routine, dull, predictable, pedantic and pedestrian...I really don't give a fuck.
