Evening rush hour on Cincinnati's north side.
The Chevy Cavalier and the Scion (?) in front of me in the middle lane are doing 55mph in a 65mph zone.
I see their stupidity in plenty of time, signal, check my mirrors, and move over to the right lane.
Then THIS happens!
686 confirmed Ohio graveyard-dead traffic fatalities in 2015 (so far).
Gee. I wonder why?
686 dead folks is a lot of dead folks.
Think about it.
The idiot didn't.
So that's why I drive like that, born in Ohio !!!
ReplyDeleteI know, I'm sad....... ;)
...and rayciss.
DeleteI see maroons doing the same thing down here in Texas as well, from left to right (as in the above instance) or right to left. All one can do is hope they aren't into playing bumper cars.......................
ReplyDeleteLast 'tally' on the freeway reader boards down here was something over 2000 fatalities, of course we have a few more folks than y'all do..................
Gawddamn! 2000? Unbelievable!
DeleteBy comparison, in 2011 there were 699 firearms related murders in Texas.
http://www.theguardian.com/news/datablog/2011/jan/10/gun-crime-us-state
Ohio had 344.
SJWs (social justice warriors) scream bloody murder (pun intended) about guns and stricter gun laws, but all we hear are crickets while the highway body counts are two times as high.
Think about that for a moment. Twice as many lives lost on the roads (mostly due to stupidity) as are lost due to guns.
ya ya ya...
ReplyDeleteThe other way to look at the 686 fatalities is... you have 686 (give or take) less buckeyes to deal with!
Give it a few years, you will *enjoy* driving around there.
As my wife often reminds me, I am a bad person.
As a total aside, you have ever been up around there a few weeks before Christmas?
ReplyDeleteI did that a single time...
It was even worse that Nashville.
